Patna — Union minister Chirag Paswan on Saturday hit out at the Opposition, alleging that "some parties, especially the Congress, are conspiring to create an atmosphere of unrest and chaos within the country to fulfil their narrow political ambitions, but would not succeed".
Talking to media persons, Paswan, who received birthday wishes from the Prime Minister and other leaders, appealed to the countrymen to be cautious of such elements and forces.
"India is the largest democracy in the world and more than 140 crore conscious people of the country are keeping a keen eye on such disruptive efforts. Some parties are trying to create chaos and instability for political gains," he added.
He said it was wrong to compare the conditions in India with Bangladesh and European countries just because some people were desperate to get into power through backdoor. "The Opposition forgets that in a democracy like India, where there is a population of more than 140 crore, one cannot spread an atmosphere of chaos." he added.
